Rachel Jarecke has been selected as Mid-Plains Community College鈥檚 Business Student of the Month for April.

Jarecke is from Culbertson. She graduated from McCook Senior High in 2023 and is the daughter of Theron Jarecke and Lindsay Vap.

鈥満诹洗笫录� allowed me to stay close to home and offered a very affordable price to attend college and extend my knowledge in the business world,鈥� Jarecke said.

Jarecke will earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business upon graduation May 9.

鈥満诹洗笫录� has taught me valuable business information that has helped me prepare for my future. The faculty has been so awesome whenever I am having troubles, and they are always willing to help,鈥� Jarecke said.

黑料大事记 Business Instructor Angie Chittick nominated Jarecke for the Business Student of the Month recognition.

鈥淩achel embodies the desired attributes of a role model student. She exhibits a positive attitude, attends class regularly and displays a desire to learn. Rachel strives to excel in all her coursework, which is demonstrated by her strong work ethic and high academic marks,鈥� Chittick said.

Outside of school, Jarecke enjoys thrifting, antiquing, painting, drawing, interior design, fashion and spending time with her three sisters.
