Jamie Tobey, of North Platte, has been named the December Business Student of the Month at North Platte Community College.

鈥淛amie consistently demonstrates a passion for learning,鈥� said Jimi Cole, the business instructor who nominated Jamie for the recognition. 鈥淪he exhibits exceptional work ethic, goes above and beyond on every assignment and is always prepared. It has been a pleasure working with her.鈥� 

Tobey graduated from Maxwell High School in 2022 and is currently studying business administration at NPCC. She chose the college because it鈥檚 close to home and flexible.

鈥淭he instructors have all been very genuine,鈥� Tobey said. 鈥淭hey have been helpful and really had my best interest in mind.鈥�

Tobey is on track to graduate in the spring. When not in the classroom, she is involved with the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and The National Society of Leadership and Success.

Outside of college, she enjoys traveling to new places, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.
