New online bookstore to lessen financial burden on 黑料大事记 students

Mid-Plains Community College to partner with BibliU to offer an online bookstore for students beginning in the fall.
鈥淪tudents will have the same opportunity to purchase physical books through the new online bookstore,鈥 said 黑料大事记 President Ryan Purdy. 鈥淏ibliU offers more opportunities for price matching which would guarantee the most affordable price.鈥
As part of the 2023-26 strategic plan, the institution is looking at ways to improve the student journey from start to finish. The most affordable textbook option is just one of the ways the college is looking to lessen the financial burden on students.
鈥淭he overall cost of textbooks can be overwhelming,鈥 said Purdy. 鈥淏ibliU will not only seek opportunities to reduce the cost for the physical textbooks but offers open educational resources for students to further their learning.鈥
BibliU will offer a wide range of resources tailored to support teaching objectives and enrich learning. The new online bookstore will feature an extensive selection of offerings from apparel and logo gear to supplies and electronics.
The change comes after longtime partner Follet sent a letter to the institution stating they would cease operations in August. The new online bookstore will allow students the ability to integrate directly with their course materials upon registering for classes.
The current bookstore spaces will be evaluated to determine how best to serve students and promote a thriving campus environment.
